What We Believe

  1. There is only one true God who reveals himself to the world as the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19; Ephesians 4:4-6)
  2. The whole Bible is God’s message of love for all mankind. It was inspired by the Holy Spirit and is without error. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:19-21; Psalm 119:160)
  3. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is our one and only saviour. He was crucified for our sins and was physically resurrected from the dead on the third day. (John 14:6; Acts 4:12; 1 Corinthians 15)
  4. That God is the judge of all mankind and that anyone, anywhere who follows his plan of salvation will be saved.(John 12:47-48)
  5. We are saved by the grace of God through the blood of Jesus. We must, through faith and obedience to God’s Word, accept this gift of salvation. (Ephesians 1:3-10; Matthew 7:21-23; James 2:14-26)
  6. As with the first Christians, when we repent and are baptised, our sins are forgiven and we receive the Holy Spirit to help us live a righteous life. (Acts 2:36-41; 1 Peter 3:21; Romans 6:3-7 and Romans 8:5-17)
  7. Every Christian has a mission to share this good news by teaching others to be disciples of Christ, by baptizing them and by continuing to help them mature in their faith. (Matthew 28:18-20; Colossians 3:16)
  8. All Church members must be encouraged to grow in their own conviction through personal Bible studies. (Acts 17:11; 2 Timothy 2:15)
  9. We must teach our children to love God and one another. We try hard to make our children's classes the highlight of their week. (Matthew 18:10-14; Mark 10:13-16; Ephesians 6:4)
  10. As disciples of Christ, we should all have a heart for the poor. We run a number of benevolent programs that allow every member to be involved. (Matthew 25:31-46; Proverbs 19:17; Galatians 2:10)
  11. We must love one another and serve one another, as Jesus did. (Matthew 20:25-28) “A new command I give you: love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” (John 13:34-35)
